I have a Ranchero re-issue (ref. 166.0218, cal. 1012) in steel case with gold plated hands and dial. I also have the silver dial which I'm planning to swap. What is missing is the silver hands.

I found the part number 065PZ2445 (minute and hour hands) from Cousins catalog, but unfortunately the stock status is "restricted".

It might be a long shot, but does someone know what are these type of hands called? Maybe I can broaden the search and find another reference with the same caliber family.

I have seen them referred to as syringe hands.

Yes syringe hands. I think similar hands can be found on some of the quartz seamaster 120 models.

Omega just refers to them as stick hands. However you should be aware that the hands you have the part number for, 065PZ2445, are not the style shown. The 065PZ2445 are straight baton hands with no smaller needle like portion at the end - those hands go on the black dial version of this watch, as well as the blue dial.

The part number for the "syringe" style hands you have on the watch now is 065TX2466, and the equivalent in silver is 065WZ2466.

    Cheers, Al

They're actually known as Pointed Sports hands. Syringe is a decent description though.

I used to have a pictorial reference on another forum, but now that Photobucket starting holding images for a $400 ransom you can't see each picture:

I do still have all those pics in my account so maybe transferring them here might be worthwhile. Don't get too impatient though - time is something I don't always have a lot of anymore.
