This Camaro has been in my watch list for weeks. I’ve been close to pulling the trigger on several occasions but have stopped myself every time. I can’t recall seeing an example with this exact configuration before, particularly the red tachymeter which I would expect to be more orange/amber, and the Chrono subdial hands which I would expect to be orange rather than white. However, the dial although unusual, does appear correct. It’s not perfect however as it shows some degradation around the hour markers, particularly 11 and 12. The V72 etc also looks fine, with the Leonidas bridge etc. So why hasn’t it sold? https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/133402726849Purchases made through these links may earn this site a commission from the eBay Partner Network
Q: So why hasn’t it sold? A: Because you havent pulled the trigger. But am not qualified to answer in any event. Not an expert.
subdial hand on the left looks like replacement. it should match the others i have only ever seen this with 2 orange subdial hands like the on the dash example
As pointed out, some of the problem is the wrong sub hands etc. It looks nice but not mint, and that dial combination is, to me, the least attractive of the Camaro combinations. And I think their ask is a little high. https://www.heuercamaro.com/models is a good site, in my experience
Hi David, I agree with the sub-dial hand comments, however believe this to be OK otherwise. Have a look here about half-way down, where I touch on the red-accent 7220, being quite unusual- https://www.heuercamaro.com/models/7220 This one has been around for some time now-possibly due to a combination of it being in Japan and the price. I would check the serial too if you can (just let me know and I'll check) in case it points to anything else being tampered with. The red-accent models fall within quite a tight range. Best, Steve
Missed this thread when it was posted a week ago, but I've also seen it around for a while. The H/M register hands should be orange, as others have suggested. It may be quite difficult to find those too.
Agree with others on the watch hands. I do really like this dial combination as it is a really a dark brown color and really unique. Here is mine for reference.
I'm going to disagree with the the sub-dial hand colour comments. I do agree at least one has been changed but as this appears to be the less-usual 'red' accent 7220, 3 white sub-dial hands is correct. They always look great on the GF!
Not necessarily. Just look at the post above your photo-7220NT with white sub-dial hands. Often the exotic 7220NTs do have white sub hands while the very similar 73643NT has the 2x orange sub-dial hands. As with all things Heuer though this is certainly not a hard and fast rule and it switches each way. The above said though, very nearly all 7220NTs with the red accents that I have listed, have 3x white sub-dial hands.
