I've been watching two curious Speedmaster listings on Ebay...

I must be overlooking something and was hoping someone could educate me.

While bidding hasn't ended quite yet (about a day to go) why are they so cheap with so little interest?!?

Omega Speedmaster Professional Ref 145.01267ST (eBay item number:142734123630)

Omega Speedmaster Vintage Watch only 145.01267SP (eBay item number:292501027257)

Even discounting case condition, dial patina, bezels etc, I can't see why they're priced the way they are?

Even parted out, they surely must be worth more than this?

Am I missing something and they're fairly priced?

Condition of the first one is very poor; Ebay auctions favor snipers so with a day to go, the current bid is next to meaningless. The second one is located in Lima Peru... 'nuff said.

And the first seller only has 22 feedbacks of which only one (1) as a seller (of a 28$ clasp).

Mediocre pics, no pic of the inside of the case back, replacement bezel, mouldy dial, shall I go on?

And the first one is Peruvian too btw

    Actually, they're both from Peru...

-Both are located in Lima, Peru

-Both have user IDs that were changed in the last couple of days

-Both have all of their feedback received within the past month

    =

    -Both are scams

So the consensus seems to be that the sellers are somehow dodgy (risky) rather than the watches being fake or franken?

    Thanks

It is said that some sellers from Peru (and several other countries) do not always send the watches that are shown in their pictures.
It is also said that sometimes the parts of the watches they sell did not leave the factory together.

These sellers either use photos they found on the internet (they do not possess the watch) or have the watch, but then send an empty box (or, often, something worthless like dead batteries or rotten produce so as to add weight)

Well, I hope bidder "3***6" got a $2000 bargain of the year, rather than a rotten potato...
