I would appreciate any thoughts on this vintage Omega 265, movement nr.13141081 that is being offered for sale at a Dutch internet market site for 1250 euro (ouch!). It looks gorgeous, but I find it hard to believe that the dial would still be original in in this state. It is also quite pricey I think. I love the two tone dial omegas, but have no interest in re-dials or refurbished dials. If I look at the 2 in the last photo I think I can see repainted lines, but not having seen any other of these type dials in the wild, it is difficult to compare. There is no info on the movement, except a mention of everything being in good working order.
The thick splotchy ink ( the font and also the numeral outlines, see the 2 marker) and the high "SWISS MADE" are terrible attempts. It's like a girl with fake boobs, the silhouette from a distance is appealing, but up close, nothing feels right. Ask for help and visit for a little while and you will do well. Is bieb short for Bieber? Your horological exploits are world renowned!
Thank you UncleBuck. The advice from experienced forum members is invaluable and much appreciated and it is a nice community. As for Bieber......I cannot sing I am afraid.
After that comment I just had to go google "Justin Bieber Watch" and now I wish I hadn't. Gawd, my eyes, my eyes!!
