Real and sold. A bit polished, with the cushion dial not especially desirable.

    Thanks.

Maybe more on the caliber and case/metals used?

    What about the price paid?

Can you please clarify case metal combination for this watch (14393 case no.)?

I wrote to Omega official website and they sent me a pdf data sheet with OT 14393 code which i found is gold case, but I think it is not.

The watch has not arrived yet, still awaiting dispatch.

    Thanks

It is gold capped. That is a relatively thick layer of gold is bonded to base metal (usually steel). More information here:

    http://users.tpg.com.au/mondodec//GoldCap.pdf

Most of the more common Constellation case references from the 1960's came in 18K gold, 14K gold (for US market), 14K gold-capped and steel.

    Hope this helps,

Thanks for quick and expert advice,

How does 500 EUR/650 USD that I paid for it sound to you?

    ;)I reckon

Actually this watch was not my no.1 on the list in terms of preference

But it "happened" that I won this one over some Seamasters and Devilles on steel or gold plate, various calibres (6xx. 10xx, 7xx), and even a Zenith that I also liked. I also bid for some of them but no success.

After more reading and advice on this forum considering the condition and the caliber inside I was consolated;)

Am I to be kicked out of here if I confess that a Longines Flagship really appealed to me?:)

    Something like this one http://www.kalmarantiques.com.au/vintage-longines-flagship-watch-p142.aspx

Nice watch! From the picture, there seems to be double Omega signs on the crystal. Is it right?
