    Dear All

This looks endearingly battered and is attractive as such. Bezel is a replacement and the dial, although it looks like it has aged to chocolate, lacks the Ts that should characterise this model. Is this likely a replacement dial too? Thanks for any advice or guidance.

Its a -63 so the dial could be ok, my 105.002-62 has no Ts and I think some early 105.003s fell into that category also. Case has seen some time on the polishing wheel for sure.

But Ash - it is a 65, so surely too late not to have the Ts?

Ah I misread the caseback, speedy4ever and others know far more about the 003s I'm sure one of those will be able to make a call on it

Wrong crown, wrong pushers, wrong bezel, wrong dial, no sign of a inner cover. Movement looks in poor condition.
I don't like this one at all. looks like it was made from parts swept up off the floor.
I would rather take a punt at this if I was spending that sort of money, at least it might turn out to be a better watch.

Definitely a candidate for the worst pictures thread too but I tend to agree with your assessment on the first watch.

:) caveat - I'm. no speedy expert, but that second watch is definitely an interesting gamble. Forget the pictures, most of the description is bollocks, so... do you feel lucky....

I have contacted the seller of the second watch, asking for better images.

Better pictures posted. Listing ended within the hour presumably sold. Buyer a member on here?

Can't believe anyone got it for a reasonable price - I asked the seller for more info on the watch and, although there is none, she told me she knows it to be worth £4,000. I thought that a tad high.

::facepalm1:: She has no real idea what the watch is, but knows it's worth £4000.

No need to apologise. It is for sale by the same guy who was selling the one I originally opened the thread to ask about. Hmm indeed.

with these questionable pieces showing these prices, coupled with a handful of 105.012's popping up in Peru that go 5 days on auction then end in the 6th day because "item was listed in error" by a seller with 1 feedback, there's no wonder the market is so skewed.. it's just odd to me that anyone who'd spend upwards money wouldn't want to do research and educate themselves and take it for face value. there's.. not sure what it is exactly but it's in Japan claiming to be a 105.003 but nothing on it suggests it is.
