Great ambassadors because of all of their experiences and accomplishments. What a joke.

People get offended by dumber and dumber things every day. Society as a whole is going down the drain.

In b4 someone posts a pic of Lady Gaga with a Black Bay.

More money spent on driving people who aren't us to buy new watches... seems legit.

Loving the comments under it though... :whistling:

If only. Had to Google it myself. I believe they're Cindy Crawford's children. In other words, 2nd generation irrelevancy. Wise up Omega.

Ok... so how is it irrelevant to have one of the most famous supermodels of all time being the brand ambassador for luxury ladies watches?

Pulling in the kids appeals to a whole new generation of people who care about these people and what they wear/dress/do.

That's probably not us, but we're not the target here... unless you buy a lot of precious metal ladies watches?

Mate, no-one under the age of 30 even knows who Cindy Crawford IS. Yes, she was everyone's "favourite" ;) back in the 80s. Now she's irrelevant. And the fact that we have to Google her kids just makes the whole "ambassador" malarkey beyond a joke. And we're paying for it.

I wish Cindy Crawford was my missus. Only because then I'd get free watches... ;)

Who do you think buys a ladies watch (or a mens watch for that matter) for £3-£5k? Not many people under 30.

People (not us), know who her kids are.

It's a tough realisation to come to, but the watch collector/nerd market doesn't make up the lions share of any watch brands customer base.

    Are we "paying for it"?

Yes... but we have been for decades.... in the sponsorship of the Olympics, in the advertising, in the brand ambassadors, and sponsorship of golf, and diving, and.... since day dot.

Would I rather they did what I want?

    Yes.

Would it make them less money?

    Who knows?

We don't own the company, some of us aren't even direct customers of it.

Look at the watch press who were at the Paris event last night... the publications they're involved with... how relevant are they to you or me?

This get's Omega huge coverage, to go with their advertising spend, in the sort of publications that are read by the people who buy their watches... and again... that's mostly not us.
