hi boys I’ m looking for a new watch... and this would be on the table (literally)!
Crown ok, case back ok and dial.... wonderful. Original buckle and nice hands (blue). 34,5mm

 

Uh, yeah, the dial is not okay. And neither is the crown for that matter. Not a "calatrava" either, it's a Longines. Worth very little in its current state.

Edit: Buckle is not from the same period and therefore not original.

 

Why is the dial not ok?

 

Poorly refinished.

 

And just to learn a bit: what are the signal for a refinishing?

 

Too clean; wrong font, etc.

You need much more experience. Do some research (i.e. look at lots of correct dials online).

 

That’s the raisin because I don’t buy a watch before an expertise here on the forum!
