After having found my birthyear Speedy, which I am over the moon with, and knowing a grail should be somewhat unattainable... I'd nominate a 2998 as my (next) grail.

And in the meantime, I'll enjoy this one. :D

Peruvian Air Force guys did not like the word railmaster. "We are pilots". Says the legend they modified into Flightmaster.

A 14 or preferably 18k dog-leg pie-pan Connie. A 1963 model would be the icing on the cake. A suitable gold bracelet would be the whipped-cream on top of the icing on the cake.

25 years in...still my 1997 Speedmaster. My earliest obsession watching the Apollo missions as a child. Finally got my own when I'd saved enough money. Currently rocking the BOND Nato for a change up. The original bracelet soon to make a return.

I had a 14k bumper wind from 1956 with the Olympic rings on it. Like a fool I let it go and don't have any pictures. Would like to see it again. But is it a grail? I'm still new to Omega so I'm not sure I know enough to have found my grail.

You are describing one of my grails. This link http://www.mediafire.com/?2dzqqy361qsvgr4 goes to a great article from Desmond Guilfoyle on the 1956 Olympic Seamasters.

It has been so long since I sold it but none of those look exactly like I remember it. I'll nose around and see if I can find anything more definitive.

Don´t be sad - most likely it was not original. All 1956 "Olympic" Seamasters had an 18K case and had cal 471 in it which was a full rotor movement. I don´t know of any original Omega bumper with Olympic rings...

A centenary 2499 for me. Those are getting difficult to find in good condition nowadays.

A NOS 1950s Railmaster which I will of course find in a small Cornish antiques shop for £160 but will haggle down to £150!

Hard to say when one has not done much collection for 18years as I already have most of what I want. Probably more than I will ever use.
The more modern speedmasters came out after I sort of driftes away. Strange that ones like the 300 are now Vintage. On the other hand I felt they were overpriced even when new.

I might go for a black dial ladies movement.

I think my current grail, would be to find a decent AD in the SF bay area. There is some maintenece that is a bit beyond my skill.

    135.004 Railmaster, sword hands, coffee-brown suede/nubuck strap
I wouldn't walk past a dauphine handed one though if it was lying in the street
