So it seems awful quite on the forums the past few days... So people must be shopping! I heard that Black Friday is not just for us gluttonous Americans anymore and becoming more popular worldwide, and that the credit card system in Israel collapsed due to trying to process 10k transactions per minute.

So has anyone picked up anything in the past couple of days? I bought a $600 Dyson vacuum for $250 that I didn't want, and didn't need, but now am convinced I can't live without (and I haven't even gotten it yet)! Even my wife is saying we already have a vaccum and don't need another one - it's like talking to her about watches all over again!



So whadya get - or what do ya plan on getting? Are you doing most of your shopping online or did you make it out to a brick and mortar shop as well?

Those Dyson rechargable things suck. Bought one a few years ago and it just disintegrated. Bought a Miehle stick in its place.

A Turkey hangover. Slept like a dead man.

I need a new mobile phone, I plan on buying a mid range one upto about 300 gbp. I can t decide if I should buy a discounted former flagship phone or a new current mid range phone like a samsung a8. I have looked at the offers and seen a few that meet my price range but after reading reviews and it is hurting my head trying to decide. The truth is I use my phone to look at the internet and play one game when I am bored, a bit of skype and facebook and I don t think I need a fancy camera as I have one for holiday snaps. I do listen to music sometimes. by the time I make a decision they will all be out of date and I will have to start again.

 

Got one of these, let’s see if it’s up tp the task...

 

On Black Friday I bought some parts at the hardware store to fix a broken sink. Then I went back to the store to buy another part that I realized I needed. Then I made a third visit because I cut one of the pipes I bought in the first visit too short and had to replace it. Thankfully we're less than 10 minutes away. And three visits for one job is not a record by any means.

 

Didn't need it, but at $67? Come on.

decided not to get a Canada goose or Montcler jacket. Got myself a proper technical down jacket instead from rab instead for a reasonable price

 

Nothing. Yet another commercial import to the UK to get folk to spend their ££££££... Actually, that said I did buy a pair of M5 pan head screws.

 

I picked up a Martin 000-18. Arrives Thursday.

 

Hope tomorrow to have a good deal an my new photography lighting equipment .....
