Anyone out there know if Gay Freres ladder bracelets available for the A386 were manufactured each month (so can be found with dates on the clasp for every month which the A386 was in production:1 70, 2 70, 3 70, etc.), or if they were produced in "batches" only on a few months/dates?

As I recall, that first digit represents the quarter of the year, not the month.

Thanks. I'm guessing I should be able to find ladder bracelets for the A386 for each quarter from mid-1969 (or earlier) through 1971 then. Will keep looking-

Actually I am just trying to educate myself as I try to track down a GF ladder to go with an A386.
No luck yet on the bracelet. Unfortunately I can't post in WTB since I have 190 more posts to go before hitting the magic 200 mark that gives me rights to post.
But while I wait to get to 200, I figure I better learn the details on the bracelets given how much they cost when they come for sale!

 

I like that logic I wonder about the bracelets also, good question and info.
