My local OB (Virginia) sent me an email this afternoon -- my CK2998 is awaiting me. I plan to pick it up on Saturday!! Photos when I get it!!

Omega does not build the watches sequentially based on LE #. In general, if you asked for a specific LE number, it will take longer than those who do not have that constraint.
Although they many not be built sequentially, From what I've seen, the numbers are released sequentially. From the first sighting, they were reports of 2 and low three digit numbers. My OB said they got numbers 22, 40, and getting 120, all of which were requested numbers. I'm sure silver snoopy was different store because of the case back.

I have arrived home after picking up my CK 2998 -- Number 361. It is a beautiful watch -- loved the whole experience -- taking it out of the plastic case, inspecting the watch, completing a little paperwork, and placing the watch in the presentation box. This is my second Omega purchased from a Boutique and I really like the customer service. I have yet to try on the watch -- I will savor the newness for a day or two -- and I have not taken photos yet; hopefully tomorrow. I enquired about purchasing a replacement alligator strap, like the one on the watch now and that should be possible in the future. I also looked at the blue fabric strap, at least in the Omega strap catalogue, and that may be my next purchase for this watch. I am not a collector and I am not a Speedy purist, nor am I concerned about resale value or the "flipping practice." I think the watch is simply perfect -- size, colors, and lume. This is how I felt when I first saw the watch appear on the internet during Basel World and I was not disappointed with the watch in hand this evening. All good. Congratulations to others who have already received their watch!
Looks really great matey congrats. Nice to hear you like the watch, not a dealer or flipping etc and you love it. I thought the same during Basel and ordered one straight away. Not heard anything from OB thou so hope all is well with my order
