It's been and odd day today. I received a job rejection this morning for being “over qualified, and excessively experienced”... which I'm taking as a compliment. Had a really good interview at a place I'd like to work, so am trying to be cool about... more to follow if that pans out. And Weezer, having released a cover of Rosanna last week: Today released a cover of Africa: Enjoy, fellow nerds/fans of 80s music.
I thought this was genius - there had been a goofy twitter campaign trying to get Weezer to cover Africa, so when they released a cover of Rosanna it was basically them acknowledging the joke and turning it back on their fans. Very cool of them to do the Africa, although they probably should have strung them along for a few more weeks with Hold the Line and a few other songs before getting around to Africa.
