When you have more than one watch, and your inclination is to switch around, often. It is not a big issue. With the exception of course of the modern expansion bracelets with the one size fits all spring loaded bracelet ends.
Did you mean bracelets on/attached to your watch, or bracelets next to your watch ( like a sporty nautical rope bracelet next to your 145.022 on a 1171 ) ?
I do not wear my Omega or Breitling on their bracelets. I do wear my Rolex 16610LV and 16570 on their bracelets. I might add the new Rolex bracelets are the reason I don't buy a new Rolex...Blasphemous I know. Sure it has "glide lock" or whatever but I don't like the added thickness and weight. Your milage may vary. Heavy or "substantial" does not mean quality in my book.
I don’t mind the look and generally put the bracelets to unless they have the end links that overlap/cover the lugs (found with some vintage watches) as they can scratch/damage the lugs.
bracelet as in watch band or bracelet as an accessory? As an accessory it doesn't feel comfortable for me on the same wrist as the watch. Plus I worry they will scratch the watch or get caught on one of the pushers.

I think that the poster means a bracelet separate to the watch its self. My view is that unless you are Pimp then its either a watch or a bracelet, unless the bracelet is on the other wrist.
Yes that’s what I mean! Wearing an extra bracelet with your watch on the same wrist! Sorry for not being specific enough!
I once saw a Sinn EZM1 for sale that was severely damaged by the owner’s lava rock bracelet(s). So, Lava rock bracelets can hasten a type of case patina.
Some people can get away with it. And wear three watches. image credit: Buzz Aldrin/@TheRealBuzz on Twitter
I admire many things about Buzz, one of which often goes over looked - his ability to fit so much stuff in his shirt pockets.
