I’ve been thinking about wearing my Seamaster GMT whilst playing golf - but concerned that the action of hitting the ball and judder on the wrist may damage the mechanism. What is the general consensus to this from other members.

Do others wear whilst playing golf?

    Thanks

Agreed. Bad idea. Wear a quartz beater.

By the way, I've just received notice from my kids, who are home schooling, that my tritium speedmaster has arrived. So today it's a good day...

Congrats! My 3590.50 says hello. Which reference did you get? Not that I would do it, but I wonder if you could play golf wearing a Speedy Pro. If it can withstand G forces associated with space flight ...

It's a 48xxx. I'm going to attache a 1171 or a uncle seiko flat link. Both of them are lying in a box. For now I've used the leather band from my modern speedmaster. Nice to have a tritium one

    That link was interesting.

I never thought about automatic versus manual.

Don't pay attention to the nonsense. You want to wear that watch playing golf, do so, it won't hurt the watch. You impart more momentum clapping your hands.

Just don't wear it while using a jackhammer.
