Hi fellas, I just traded my SMP Ceramic 41mm for a PO Ceramic 45.5mm, it's my dialy watch, as I use my Rolex Submariner as a especial occasion piece.

A few years ago I had a DeepSea for a couple of years, wearing dialy but the weight and the size got me tired and I sold it.

But the big watch bug bite me again and I wanted a big watch so I got the PO as the SMP seemed a little small for me, I'm a 6' 225 LB guy.

MY main question is for those of you who has owned a PO 45mm for some time, and wear it dialy, has you just got used to it or you got tired of it?

    Thanks

My 3313 is thinner and 45.5 so I’ve got no problem with it. I used to wear daily. Your is slightly less lug to lug though I think 7.5 inch wrist here

Ive been wearing a Ploprof rather frequently lately. I thought the size would bother me but I’ve grown accustom to it.

I wear mine frequently. You get used to it and I truly enjoy it.

I try and wear my speedy with dress shirts and/or suits.

Definitely not tired of it yet. Every once in a while, I wonder if I should trade it for the 42, as 45.5 is probably a bit big, but I can’t bring myself to do it. I wear this beauty everyday and everywhere.

What if you wore it bezelly instead of dialy? Maybe that would help.

We are about the same size and I wore mine daily which never bothered me. For a change up I got the Omega black rubber strap which works really well with the PO.

I had a blue face PO but it was the titanium so very light for the size of the watch. Didn't fit under all shirt sleeves but those that did ensured it got a day out.

I'm now regretting selling it mind, so I might swap back plus money for the goodplanet Aqua Terra I took, or sell that and buy a Sapphire moonwatch.....choices

I'm 6'4", 220lbs and I just sold my last watch over 43mm because they were too big for me. I think it has more to do with wrist size than anything else. I agree with others that you'll get used to it over time if you decide it looks right. On me...it just didn't.

    Used to it.
    Love it.
    Feel naked without it.

( caveat: titanium on rubber strap, so it’s as light as a 45.5 planet ocean can be )

IMG_8631.JPG I recently picked up that exact watch, at 45.5 it really isn't to bad being titanium! Actually lighter than my 16600 lol

I’m guessing if you were tired of the size before, you’ll get tired of it again. But, maybe consider titanium as others have. It makes a big difference.

I thought my wrist wasn't big enough for it. After six months, I think my other watches are too small (they aren't). It gets stuck in my sleeves occasionally but, this is my favorite by far.

My Ti Planet Ocean 45.5mm today - I wear this one 24/7 when it's in rotation, which is on about 7 out of every 10 days. I have no problem wearing it all the time. If it were in steel, maybe not so much...

No one complains about the weight of Gold or platinum watches.... my POC on bracelet is lighter then a gold or plat Daytona... no one talks about the weight of those. Yes you notice it at first and if you think about it the first few days. Honestly when I put my SKX on my right wrist the other day was more noticeable.

Sometimes the wear-height of a watch will affect it's wearability more, so a low profile gold watch might wear better than a tall steel watch. Materials still make a difference, but the height can maker a lighter watch wear worse than a heavier one.

A friend came over today and tried on my Seiko PADI turtle and my Ti Planet Ocean 9300 and said he felt that the Seiko weighed more, but it was lower in profile and wore better. For me, if my Ti Planet Ocean clasp is too loose, the watch wears worse because it can flop around.
