I've been asking this watchmaker for many years to sell me some of his vintage watches. Here is the result of good timing paired with patience and persistence:

-Gold bumper, stainless automatic seamaster calendar, gold automatic seamaster, le coultre, eterna matic, us navy buships, and some crazy one of 200 wilson brothers railway pocket watch. All just serviced, now just sitting on my desk ticking away...

Glad you are thrilled with your insta-collection. Looks like you need to go strap shopping. And contact @DaveK about getting a leather lanyard for your pocket watch

Yes, I am fresh out of 18mm leather straps that match this type of watch era. I feel like a just won the lottery, this has been a great find.

Some real beauties there - I am sure that your watchmaker is happy to have you off his back now 馃榿

No slight intended, but you are aware that at least one of them has a dial that has been restored?

Understood, I always suspect this when the dials look this clean, but I can't tell for certain. These were hidden in a box for thirty years. So if one dial is a redo, it's a very old redo.

The bumper automatic is my current "sitting on the desk" favorite...

Very nice. When you have the time if you could share them individually that would be great.

The linen-dial Eterna is nice, and I think the dial on that one is original. Is it gold, or plated?

Based on those new photos, I would say that the dial on that last Omega is original.

Great question, I wish I knew. I didn't take a photo of the movement, or inner caseback. I did find a faint number the outer caseback (4191575). I need to hav a watchmaker open it up so I get the real serial #.
This watch has a freakishly small crown, but I agree, the dial is really nice.

This is what i mean by freakishly small crown; Dress watches have certainly evolved since the 1950's

My dad's 1960 Croton has a tiny crown like that. How very annoying to hand wind. 馃榾

Good to know, it's really a weird size for a crown. Fortunately it's an automatic movement, so minimal crown movements needed. Let's see a picture of that 1960's croton...
