"past his prime" - bad choice of words for a website inhabited by enthusiasts of 50 - 100 year old timepieces, many of whom are also most likely past their primes as well 😀

I don't think the watch is vintage because it doesn't seem to have a sub-dial for seconds.
Looks rather large too.
