Is that the one they found on Captain Nemo's corpse?
I don’t think he drowned — just had a dodgy ticker

Here's another. The dial is rough, but still appealing to me.

Lovely dial!

First vintage, lume has fallen out a bit, patina turning dial green. Still love it and wear it at night a fair bit.

It’s flash big brother

Late '20s early '30 empire in Taubert/Borgel waterproof case....love the angular architecture of the case and lugs, and the metallic ring between the dial's minute and hour chapters....runs like a champ.
Very nice look to this case!

Lumeless hands, "fake" arrow, patina on the dial...
But she's mine

It’s all in the back story. A small watch that belonged to a great man....my Grandfather.

RE the Empire waterproof
That is certainly a beautiful bit of engineering. Any back story on these watches ? Time period and marketing perhaps.
Looks like something Hemingway might chose to wear when at sea.

I have a jammed up Camy signed 17 jewel movement, an ST96, that I got to strip for the balance assembly. If you need any other parts for yours let me know.

Despite the case being in terrible shape, I still like the look of the dial and hands. It was also my first vintage watch.

Very nice but what’s « not good » about it?😕

And these....? - can’t see what the flaws are supposed to be.
I‘ll Play with two others here

Below is one of my many less than perfect watch. As far as I know it is entirely correct, but it’s been polished and as you can see there’s plenty blemishes on the dial. Yet I enjoy wearing it a lot and the silver dial has a great sheen in real life — to which pictures simply don’t do justice.
