i have the Polerouter for SAS and the Marvin Flying Dutchman for KLM. Does anyone know of any other watches that were chosen for particular airlines?
Gruen produced watches for Panam Clipper pilots to use during WWII and than released a Panam model after the war for the public:
There are some Benrus Sky Chiefs floating around that are engraved "Property of KLM Royal Dutch Airlines" on the caseback. I think Delta, Northwest, and TWA also used these in an official capacity.
Longines had a watch for Czech pilots in the late 30's and 40's, and in the 50's they made a model for SwissAir. Can't forget the Lindbergh Hour Angle either!
