Any unique watches given to the winners of a sporting event (Olympics, Super Bowl, etc.)? I don't recall seeing any of these before.
Rolex traditionally gives watches to Winners of certain auto races. I'm not going to list them but I'm sure you can guess one of them. There are some watches from the 60s-80's for certain college bowl games.
Beyond Rolex 24 at Daytona, as a Canadian I can tell you that Tissot gives watches to the players of the game during the World Junior (u-20) Hockey championships
Longines is quite active in horse racing and is a sponsor of the Kentucky Derby. The winning trainer, owner and jockey all receive watches. They also created a LE Conquest chronograph as the official timer of the Munich Olympics in '72.
Rolex is big at Spruce Meadows, the equestrian venue in Calgary, Alberta. I believe Rolex presents a Date Just to a male and a female winner. Matter of fact, the 2017 completion starts today (June 27), and runs until July 2. It has as high a profile in the equestrian world as almost any similar competition, and is telecast world wide. https://www.sprucemeadows.com/tournaments/view_tournament.jsp?id=41
