I bought this about 5 years ago not knowing if it was built from parts or the real thing. So to my limited knowledge the case looks period with wear and tear. The movement number is 3035**** According to this site it’s around 1969 and seems to fall inside the serial number range but this was from 5 years ago. Just wondered if anyone had any more information. Who has the highest serial number for a sm300? http://www.svetsatova.com/forum/f89/omega-seamaster-300-including-military-watches-5980.html
Mmmm, looks like a bit of a franken. New service dial, hands and bezel combined with a period case and a movement from another model. At least it's a watch you can enjoy wearing without fear of damaging or losing it.
The hands dial and bezel were replaced. But if it had been sent off to omega for a service they would also have replace these parts. Or perhaps the original owner had them replaced, who knows. Seems strange to use an old case, you’d just buy a new one.
I suppose I will never know 100% I guess I’m just interested in who has a late serial number and who else couldn’t get an archive?
