Hello: I just had my late father’s 1965 watch overhauled and intend to wear it often. What setting and rotation direction could I use for this watch? Thanks.

I think my esteemed forum sibling means you really don't need to use a watch winder, especially if you're wearing it often. The time and effort involved with a watch winder is greater than just resetting the hands occasionally. Which you'll probably need to do anyway unless it's running to chronometre standards... And: enjoy wearing pop's watch!

a lot easier to just reset the hands when its needed, as Boojumhunter mentions

As above. Why use something that ensures constant unnecessary wear on the parts. Either use it or put it in a box and admire it from time to time. Watch winders serve no purpose. If you wear it often it wont need any kind of winder except you.

Do you pay the neighbourhood kids to drive your car around all night after you get home from work?
