Did you get them new or second-hand? The only tweezers I ever need to dress—rarely—are the brass ones. I also had to straighten and dress a pair that accidentally fell off the bench. When tweezers are used properly, it usually takes a very long time before they need any dressing.

I got them brand new from cousins website. It was like all the tips were cut and not as fine as they were meant to be.

That's odd - 3A should be quite fine at the tips. This is one of my favorite tweezers - and the one that I purchased second hand in a great condition. From my stainless steel range, this one and #5 Dumostar are the only ones that I use. Stopped using #2 Dumoxel a while ago - prefer brass for most of the work - safer on the parts and I appreciate the soft feel of it.
