·Just looking for opinions. I think it is slightly big, but it’s just on the edge. 42mm case lug to lug just over 51mm. I’m still in the warranty period so might return it.

·Lugs are not hanging over your wrist and on side shot, not sticking away from the curvature of your wrist. I say rock it, if it feels comfortable.

·It looks fine to me. Not the perfect size for you, but I don't think that's big. If it feels right on your wrist, it's fine. I would make sure not to scratch the lower lugs with the buckle being that close to them. Can you adjust that?

·Looks pretty giant and bet that nato pushes it out off your wrist. I bet it will bang into everything.

·I think the NATO strap is the problem - a leather or rubber strap might be better

I found out that something that bothered me on a watch rarely goes away - changing straps can help, but just a bit.
If you wear smaller watches frequently, then you might always be surprised by the size when you pick it up.
If it bothers you, then I would seek to exchange it. After all it needs to feel right to get some wrist time.

·Nice Seiko 👍 , but yes it looks a tad big, but if you like the watch, who cares? Five years ago it would have seemed small, fashions change.
I (we?) have these taughts every 6 months or so "is it too big" then I forget about it and enjoy my watch.

·I have 6.5" wrists yet enjoyed wearing a 42mm Speedie, daily for 15years straight - on a variety of metal, leather and NATO straps.
I now have a modest collection of perhaps 20 watches - the majority of which is in the 34-36mm range
I would estimate that my old Speedie has been on my wrist less than a dozen times in the past 5 years.
What strikes me is how much my preference has shifted over the years - who knows may shift back to the larger pieces

·The strap is too bulky, one reason I don't like NATO style straps. It often makes one look like you are wearing a loaded diaper on your wrist.

··Burt Macklin, FBIMy first thought is, are you wearing the nato correctly? The buckle is in a naturally high position and literally protrudes off the lugs, which will visually and physically make the watch seem bigger than it is.

·I have to agree with the strap comments. The way you have it now makes the watch look bigger than it is. Maybe adjust or change the strap and try again to see how you feel about it. Ultimately, what matters is that you like the watch and feel comfortable with it, so don't get too hung up on our opinions.
I suffered the reverse effect some months ago. Used to wear medium to big watches, it surprised me how tiny a vintage Omega or a Seiko Presage that I had just gotten looked on my wrist. It kinda put me off at the beginning but I adapted quickly.
