Evening all! Thought I’d share a storage idea for those with a ton of straps, nato and leather. These little drawers meant for art supplies are perfect. Bought two and I plan on lining them soon with some sort of soft fabric too. Really cheap solution on amazon and look decent in wood. Just art supply drawers in search.

Just stumbled upon this. I recently did up a whole cabinet for my (small) collection. If you haven't found a fabric for your drawers yet I would suggest adhesive backed velvet off Amazon. I got a roll and it did a whole drawer with all the little compartments and a second drawer the same size for my wife's jewlery. Wasnt cheap though at $30 a roll but the outcome was way better than I was hoping for. I would have tried getting a better deal on a bigger roll had I known.

Just saw your reply also haha - it's funny you mentioned that because I've been looking all over for ideas to cover the drawers! It was either going to be fabric like your suggestion or the flocking method which sounds like a pain. I appreciate the suggestion - I had no idea they had adhesive backed velvet, sounds much easier.

Here's a mock up and kinda done pic. For some reason I don't have a pic of it finished Haha. The white center is now a velvet tray with little handles so I can remove the big section, but with it in, it looks like the whole thing is velvet lined. The adhesive is pretty strong so no worries about it peeling. In fact if I decided I didnt want the velvet I'd have to throw the whole thing away Haha. Also I found out later that the divider system I used comes in black....... wtf.

Nice!! Love the divider system too - much easier and flexible idea than mine. I used a roll of thin cork and glued it to measured pieces of balsa wood haha
