Each to their own obviously, if you think it looks ok then carry on as you were.

Personally I only own 2 nato's, 1 on an old services that I've not long posted in the WRUW thread. The other is a blue and white nato on a blue faced 198.001. All other watches are on bracelets as I can't get along with leather for any period of time.

what ever blows your hair back as the good will hunting would say. personally, i don't like how natos rub against my wrist, so i struggled with putting a seiko on a nato while waiting for the bracelets to arrive from hk. In the end i just had to wait cause I cant stand natos.

x1000 on "Wear What You Like"

Frankly it is no one else's business what type of strap, bracelet, etc. you choose to pair with a watch. If it looks good to you, that is all that matters. The opinions of random strangers who have their own 'standards' and 'rules' is worth even less then what you pay them for telling you.

I think some watches look better on NATO straps, it's just my opinion but I wouldn't worry about what some random guy thinks as well. If it looks good to you or is comfortable to you rock it.

Never ever considered other peoples opinions, if they don't like what I wear and how I wear it, tough.👍

NATO’s are watch equivalent of Paddock tyres on a race car.

If there’s one thing I can’t abide (well, in actual fact there are many, many things, but let’s stay on subject) it’s people trying to tell someone else what they should or shouldn’t wear...

Style is one of those things that is inherently a matter of personal taste. That’s why larger trends continually change and evolve over time... because once in a while some person decides to try something different.

I say to hell with that guy... wear your watch however you want and enjoy it.

I ran into this guy selling a rubber links( a La JLC) bracelet off of a deep blue watch... it was the right measurement and I decided to give it a shot. Had to do a little bit of work on it to fit but after a little filing here and there and bam..
