Newbie with a sapphire sandwich Speedmaster. I want to change the leather strap for a hodinkee strap I just received as a gift. Have the Omega tool and loupe, and am reasonably mechanical. Will this be a no-brainer or difficult? Any tips. TIA

Sounds like you have all the tools. Even the loupe will be usefull. Can't see it presenting any issues. Good luck. Change the straps on my speedmaster all the time.

Google some instructions if there's any doubt, and use some masking tape around the lugs the first time or two to prevent scratches. Otherwise it's really easy and you'll get the hang of it quickly. Enjoy!

Just a tip, its better if you use a masking tape in the back of the lugs. That way you have more chances not scratching the lugs when the pin pops out.
