I'd be grateful if someone could post where these boxes can purchased?
I'm not sure if they are designed specifically for watches but they seem to ideal. Any info or preferred alternative suggestions would be great.

It is elastic membrane case by Bergeon, you can find it at Ofrei or Esslinger:

Google "membrane box" . Be warned that some people have noted that these can lift paint (say on a bezel) if left for long periods .

    Oh thanks @oddboy
I was thinking for longer term storage, as well as transporting, so maybe these are not the best option for longer term.
I need an alternative to watch rolls stuffed in my safety deposit box :)

I would not suggest these for long term storage. They are meant for shipping and offer no value just sitting.

Beware safedeposits in air con rooms. Where they switch off at weekends. Cooked once a week. And humitity issues in tropical climates.

    Good point. Thanks William.
The bank is open 7 days a week so should be good. I've contemplated a safe at home. But I always think if I did get burgled and the safe did it's job. I would more than likely get done again as the temptation to get into the safe would be there. Maybe I'm just paranoid.

I store all my watches in the Ted Pella membrane boxes (I can put at least 4 with straps in their 139-58 box). I put a dry pack in each. They are hermetically sealed and it is in my view the safest long-term storage option of all (if you are concerned about paint peeling off, just put paper where there is contact -the archival/conservation kind if you are really paranoiac).

When it comes to watch storage and humidity I have it covered

Silica Gel Jumbo size ( great thing is they are reusable )

And watches in pelican cases with cloth covers so they don't contact the foam which can suffer deterioration.

Is there any fear that silica gel can actually suck moisture from the watch and dry it out and affect performance?

Probably, but it would be irrational fear.

    Cheers, Al

I usually put 1 packet of silica gel in a box, not too much nor too little.

I use eBay boxes and throw in silica packets and don't eat them!
