So I've had this WTB ad posted for a while:

https://omegaforums.net/threads/mint-crisp-or-nos-1039-bracelet.115459/

Bumped it today and received a PM from new OF member @Matth3 ( <-- Mods, please ban this MF'r ASAP!):

Why can't Mr. "Kevin Alex" contact me himself? Why a 3rd party "Matchmaker" needs to connect us?
So I email "Kevin Alex" to get some info about the imaginary bracelet he has for me, and I get the following response:

The language in the email and the half picture of the bracelet looked awfully suspicious so I typed the email [email protected] into the google machine and sure enough...

Watch out folks! These lowlifes are out to get you and are lurking around every corner!

I’ve received and reported a similarly worded message from a new member @Matth3 giving a different email address

I heard that members with a high number of ignored alerts are particularly targeted.

I got one too for my vintage buckles WTB of all things, not even real money!
The PM is gone so I suspect the mods have dealt with it.

Fake news...I'm currently at close to 18,000, and that's after hitting this (the limit) and resetting...

Never been the subject of a scam here.

I think they go after the WTB threads mainly as I’ve gotten one or two before from 1 post new members and just ignore them- and they go away- I assume due to the Mods.

Apart from all the other obviousr ed flags, he says no end links in the mail, but the picture clearly shows the bracelet has them! 😀

WTB ads are an adverts for scammers. The only WTBs I've ever posted have only ever brought out illicit aproaches, so I don't bother with them any more.
