Hello all. New here. Just got these two watches. Would like to learn more about them. Year made, model, quality? I probably won't sell em. Either trade or wear them. Thank you, much appreciated. 0121191025.jpg 0120191644a.jpg 0121191026d.jpg

    Hi semroc,

These watches look pretty beaten up. Do they actually still work?!
Also for info about the watches you need to open the case back of the round gold black dial watch as well to check for the info yourself or in order people here can try to find it out.

    Cheers,

Thanks for the response Watchrock. The cushion dial one works. I can't get the back of the black one off. It is really beat up looking, and the weight shakes around on the inside.

Best go to a watchmaker and ask him to open it for you.
Until then we can only be guessing what model this really could be :).

    Beaten up but potentially interesting.
The cushion case should be from the very early '30s, if I remember well the serial numbers table.

The black one is almost certainly a bumper automatic movement. That is why you feel the weight moving on the inside. Most likely from the early 1950’s. I can’t tell if the damage is on the dial or the crystal (or both).

    Hope this helps,

Thanks for the responses. Is the cushion form one a mans watch? Is it a legitimate Omega?

They are both man's, they were very small back then. We need more detailed photos of movements and inner/outter casebacks.

The caliber you posted is a 23.7. It is a genuine Omega caliber.

Thank you Francois. I appreciate it. That helps a lot. I just managed to straighten out the lugs on both watches. Will service the 1930s watch, and wear it. Will probably try to trade the black one.
