I bought and paid for an Omega Seamaster Professional mid size quartz on April 9th and NEVER received the watch!. He confirmed that he received the money and said he would send the watch to me shortly. What he sent me was a Seiko (which I promptly returned). I sent Omega Forum 3 emails describing the matter and never heard back.
What is wrong here?
Has anyone had this kind of problem? Why isn't Omega Forum responding to me?
This has never happened to me on any other forum so I am really upset.
I've contacted the bank which I sent the money, the person William Likens (wareagle 35), the Omega Forum and the police in Alabama where the Seiko was sent from.
Don't know what else to do.
Has anyone had this kind of experience or can suggest another solution?

 

So, you did not use Paypal or some kind of guaranteed payment? These days I dont trust very many people on line...

 

You're aware that Omega Forums doesn't sell watches? You had a transaction with an individual or company who advertises here. The forum has no power to intervene or get your money back I'm afraid.

Are you getting no response from the seller?

 

I would be sceptical to this post, as this is OP’s first post EVER on OF!

If he where buying thru the forum, then I would expect him to have at least more than ONE post!?

For the OP, who was the seller in the forum, maybe in a case your claim is legit, you can have help from an moderator here to provide you with more info.

I lurk here very infrequently and last time I was on, I saw that particular ad and was tempted, even sent a PM to seller. Got a reply but ended up passing. Sorry this happened to you, hope it gets rectified.

 

I'll never get used to this malarky of bouncing thousands of dollars around the planet to people I will never shake hands with... hoping they are nice people who will make sure I get my purchase.

In 62 years, I've never bought or sold anything else in this manner!

 

Nothing since he said he would ship it out, and then I received a Seiko diver.

This was the 1st time I did not use PayPal. Really sorry I didn't.

 

Deposited a check into his bank account. He provided me with his account number and name. He acknowledged receipt same day.
