These are very useful. Especially for brands like Gallet which has no real data base.

This original ad is from the late thirties. Had it framed for the wall I like the image so much. It is a mysterious figure, half day and half night, a guardian of timekeeping. Perhaps one of our French members can better translate the phrase "eloge du temps."

I understand it as "the praising of time" and that seems quite nice.

 

"For our safety, we need to know the exact time of day and night."
