    btw 2 and 5 o'clock on the dial: is this normal 'wabi-sabi' or possibly indicative of an inferior dye used in a redial job?

    It might come from the crown (unsealed, waterproofing defekt...) as it's all around 3.00

    My money would be on water ingestion at the crown and someone tried to clean it off, and while cleaning wiped that printing away.

    Why would the bezel have problems in the same area? Maybe a storage issue? it lay on something corrosive?
