Has anyone seen this before? I was looking at a long discontinued but supposedly NOS watch and spotted this. In all my years of collecting, I've never seen that card before nor does a search bring up anything about it. Looks rarer than a Silver Snoopy!

Omega should supply them for watches bought since July 2018 where the warranty has increased from 4 to 5 years.

Well, you'll just have to buy a new Omega.

I bought a new Moonwatch today, and it came with the 2 year warranty card. There was no extension card. The AD told me that extension card is perhaps for having had a service to the watch. They told me that for a new watch, the warranty is 5 years regardless of the warranty card.

Just curious, why does that person have a few warranty extension cards?

He bought a box for a watch and it came with quite a few of these bound in elastic.

He wanted to know if I needed a box and sent me a photo and I noticed the cards. He didnt seem to have even noticed them. I googled them and it brought me to this thread which is the only mention of these anywhere online.

He said he has five bundles of thirty warranty extension cards, so 150 or so in total

Kinda neat, but in the end worthless. They are redundant on a very small range of watches.

The big question is then, where are they all? There are none on ebay.

    Mate still has these btw.

I'm not sure it's 'hahaha' funny, but it seems like a neat idea. How long would each extension card be valid, if Omega recognized them? Would you have to have continuous coverage, or would it be sufficient to buy one just when you need it? Is there a spot for a date and serial number on the card?

IWC gives you six years of extension (to eight years of warranty) if you register your watch, but they don't hand out these neat little cards.

I believe it was when they changed the policy on the warranty and some cards had the old warranty length on them.

So why is there a stockpile of these in my friends hands and none to be seen anywhere?

I dont think they are completely 'worthless' as one of you was so quick to state btw. Redundant or not, I see other cards sell for money and completists will want these in the coming years I am sure.

The cards are very generic too, there is no room on them for pertinent watch information, so they can go with any watch. For those with no card at all, this may be the alternative.

They would only be correct on a very narrow range of watches.

I mean, just because you heard something you don't like doesn't make it untrue. @Foo2rama is an incredibly knowledgable member.
