I have a 396.1201 that I an considering giving to my wife. Naturally I will have to shorten the braclet A Lot.

It looks just like simply pins that can be pushed out in the direction of the arrow. Is it that simple?

Also does it have a quick method of changing the date?

    Thanks for any help.

Not sure about these you might want to ask Dennis, @ulackfocus , As I have heard they require special handling.

Knew Dennis would get a tickle before I opened this thread.

These bracelets are better done by someone that knows them as can be hard

You don't remove links from the lug end but the bracelet clasp ends where the bracelet joins the clasp. yOu should be able to remove most of the adjuster links to get to a smaller size.

From memory the pins are held by small sleeves in the centre section of the link.
They are easy to remove/install if you have the right tools and know what you are doing.

I'm away from my tools and stuff at the moment (three weeks minding a mates beach house while they're in Paris) so I can't check my memory against fact.

    Now back to my beer.
