Warning: Phishing Scam by PM Asking for References

We had several members report that a compromised legitimate member's account had been used to send messages to them asking for a reference check.

The link took them to a page that looked similar to an Omegaforums.net login page but was a scam site designed to steal their username and password in order to use their account for further fraud.

Please do not click on links like these and do not hesitate to report them. If you have clicked on them, and entered your username and password, you need to change it immediately.

Yep, pretty important since they've created a visual clone of Omega Forums which could easily fool someone not paying attention. We've implemented various other countermeasures, but they may try new ways of reaching members.
