    Last year I started an arguably entertaining thread that revealed multiple misrepresentations by a well-known California-based vintage watch dealer. One might have thought that the embarrassment might have caused the owner to be much more careful in the future, but that apparently wasn't the case.

    I have not been to his site for many months, but happened to stumble across this Longines today, and clicked on it to read the detail. Well, setting aside the fact that the case is arguably over-polished, and that the price is predictably high, what caught my eye was the representation of the watch having a "signed crown" (in the lower, "additional information" part of the page). Not only is this claim obviously at odds with the crown depicted in the photos, but the crown is clearly an incorrect replacement, as well, adding further levity to the asking price.

    For additional bonus amusement, note that this IWC, which is described as having a "smooth bezel", is —wait for it—missing the bezel entirely! And it was "just serviced"! ::facepalm2::
