Hello, I have a Waltham Vanguard 21 jewel pocket watch which I am having some problems with. It was working fine until I brought it in for service and cleaning and once I got it back it started seizing while in the vertical position. I've taken it back to the watchmaker 4 times and he can't figure out what's going on. After I brought it to another watchmaker they bent the case pin to the point where I can't get it open anymore. Could anyone recommend a competent watchmaker who knows antique pocket watches?
Where are you located? I can't answer your question because I have the same one. I'm in the US SE and my local guys don't want to deal with pocket watches. I've got an heirloom that I really want a good service on.
