A Waltham I recently serviced for a friend. This is a 12-size, 1924 model Colonial B. There were about 96,000 of this model, produced, but how many were outfitted with this unusual feature, I don’t know. If you happen to have one of these, beware! The entire process is not shown in these images, so leave it to the pros!

Cool watch.
It obviously needs to be repatriated to Waltham. pls dm and send the watch back to its home.

Old American made pocket watches are all over the place here in the northeast but I have yet to see one with this feature! 👍

Thanks for sharing this. I have one of these in white gold and have added some photos below. It is interesting to see one of these taken apart for service.

Yours is 14 karat white gold, no less. That in itself is a bit unusual. Very nice.

I remember seeing a vintage ad for secondmeter equipped watches, I believe it was a $2 or $5 premium for the option. Quite a bit of cash back in the day

Another Colonial. A 14-karat case, presented as a 25-year service award in 1937, engraved with the presentation details. Watch never used!

I can’t believe that nobody pointed out that I posted a picture with the retainer for the intermediate setting wheel installed 180° The wrong way around! Shame on me!
