So, since @Dial & Bezel introduced me to the wonderful world of selvage jeans; something that I have been meaning to get into (no pun intended) for the longest time...

My next en-devour is to get myself a nice wallet. I'm currently using a Bellroy Note Sleeve. It's nothing to write about, but it does its job really well.

    1) i like that its slim (somewhat when its not stuffed with groceries receipts)
    2) coin compartment.
    3) 8-10 cards compartment

Pic isn't mine, but same thing.

It's black though, and rather boring.

    Share your wallets!

Got mine off Etsy - I like the look of the leather, plus the ability to customise it to exactly the number and type of compartments/slots that I need. It's Italian.

Had another made for a friend, also customized, from another Etsy leather maker. Turned out pretty well too. A little more plain, but the leather is thinner so the wallet is overall less thick.

Lots of options for custom wallets on Etsy, with a wide price range.

+ 1 for Bellroy. Does the job. I am pretty happy with it and have stuck with it for a few years now. How special do you need for something that sits close to your arse most of the day?

I use an Excentri and it hardly ever goes in my arse pocket, mostly in my hand or a jacket pocket.

Since it is an Omega forum and this toppic comes up... Here's an Omega wallet I got from a German dealer some time ago... Never use it but it looks very nice in my (humble) opinion. Cheers.[/ATTACH] IMG_7022.JPG IMG_7023.JPG IMG_7024.JPG

I bought a Mullberry wallet 4 years ago. It cost about 250 USD. Complete waste of money, no better than one that cost a quarter of that. The stitching started to come off after a few months. Don t think I will waste any more money on expensive wallets again.

Haha! Thanks for the reply! Well, same goes for the watch right? I mean a casio tells the time! How special do you need it to be?

I think a nice wallet kinda goes well with a nice watch, shoes, pants/jeans and maybe a ring.

Fossil brown leather, couple of battle scars and it holds 8 credit cards 2 forms of ID and notes. Its not a million $ but it works for me.
Also have a thin Dark blue leather FCUK for travel only holds 2 cards and some folded notes but its easy to conceal.

I've had my "original" Taxi Wallet with canyon leather for 15 years at least and it hasn't popped a stitch. Fantastic wallet.

I have to say I’m always very happy with mullberry
products, too bad you don’t have the same exerience.
You could have a timex for 1/100th of an omega and it’s no less and don’t need a 500€ service every 5 years

I've had "nice" Coach wallets that leached leather dye onto my license and credit cards, and I've had cheap wallets last for years. My current wallet is a fairly nice one from Property Of and it's held up fantastically, considering all of the in/out movements of credit cards etc.

This is indeed true, and something that applies to all "luxury" goods, if my first Omega watch didn't live up to my expectations I would not spend money hoping the next one would be better. I think with expensive items, you only get one chance to win over the customer and Mullberry have lost this one, although I am sure they make plenty of quality products.
