    I saw that when it came on. I didn't even follow it because the caseback was so worn.
    Unless I have a "special" one also, I believe they all look gray when photographed in
    the right light. ( at least the 67 68 era dials) Here's mine.

    Notice that every screw head is scarred from sloppy/unsteady watchmakers hand on screw driver.
