Thinking about pulling the trigger on a Railmaster with my AD for a pretty good 'customer loyalty' discount. However, the specific one I want (pictured below) is not in stock and has to be ordered. A little dismaying is that the owner stated he has no real idea how long it would take to get it. "Could be day's, could be weeks," was his answer. For those who have played the waiting game on an in-production timepiece, how long did you wait? Cheers, Alex
I cannot remember exactly but I think it was inside of 3-4 weeks from order to arrival of my Deep Black Sedna from my AD. I am guessing that the Railmaster you are looking at has a higher production volume than mine does and should therefore have a quicker delivery.
Railmasters get dispatched on train, takes a bit longer than the seamasters. You know, because those go on ships.
Sounds as though you do a lot of business with your AD, and I’m sure he’d rather under-promise and over-deliver with a favored customer. I don’t think you can necessarily predict from another AD’s experience.
Waiting 2-4 months for Tudor Black Bay GMT. Not confident it will be at price quoted. 2 weeks down, 6-14 weeks to go.
