I love a classic pie-pan Connie as much as the next guy ... but I find myself gravitating to the wackier, more aberrant vintage Omegas. Like this one:

Is it real? Is it worth $800?

And to all of you collectors who love to show off your beautiful gold pie-pan deluxes ... I'd love to see the black sheep in your collection ...

Yes it is very real. There is a similar brown/bronze version as well. I have seen these go for cheap and some for a lot. It all depends on the mood of the buyers at a given moment. I think Spencer (Hippocampus on another forum) has one.

The strap looks like shark skin or sting-ray skin or something too, very cool 70s look ;)

That lapis lazuli dial is very dated. That was popular in the 70's into the 80's. I think I have a Piaget dial like that from when I bought a spare caliber 9P.

That one's cool, but you should be able to get one for under or around $500. Looks like the hands rubbed on the dial a little.

They still make diamond indices on watches. Rob has a killer PP perpetual/chronograph with a black dial and diamond markers.

Thanks for the feedback, folks ... and the challenge still stands: where are your wacky Omegas? Post 'em, don't be shy.
