    Hi all,

I found an interesting Vulcain Cricket watch on a bidding site. The watch seems to be original and in good condition except the mechanism who need a good revision. The seller states that the watch goes too fast.
As I'm quite a newbie in watches and furthermore in non-omega watches, I'd like some advices and the value of this finding (the higher bid is at 220€) ant the seller asks for 650€.

    Here are the pictures :

    Thanks for your help

    Run.

Dial is acceptable, but not the best.
Inner caseback looks pitted & very rusty, could be dirt, but no pics of it?
Case plating is worn on the lugs
    pitting on outer case back
Crown is worn, but its a small detail.

Servicing will not be cheap for an alarm watch.
For 650€, overall, too expensive & too much trouble. I'd keep looking...

    I found the dial uncommon.
No, I don't have pics of the inner caseback. I suppose that if it was dirty, the seller would have clean it ...
Thank you for the advice, I'll keep looking for an other lucky find :)

FWIW I like the Vulcain though I think it a bit pricey. Grungy can be good (a watchmaker can usually take care of that), although look for wear on the gold plating on the lugs. The dial pattern is a classic 1950s design, seen here on some time-only watches:
