Vulcain cricket 304001 Clarification Needed

Mine is an early model. Does not have numbers in the back.

They are often described as not working, but this is because they are wound by turning the crown counter clockwise. Most folks not familiar with the Cricket wind them clockwise, and that motion will have different results because of the special setting of the crown (due to the alarm function).

Matters very little, I suppose, since a vintage watch should get serviced anyway, especially if described as not working.

I am not a watchmaker so am not sure about availability of parts. Mine had been serviced twice in the dozen or so years that I have owned it. The watchmaker never complained about parts.

I have not kept up on the prices for these. The one in your first post has what looks like a chrome plated and very pitted case.

The one in your second post is beautiful.

The one from the video has strange hands. They look hollow.

I would hold out for one that looks like the one in your second post. I like the dial. It looks like mine.

Mine is gold filled. If I could start over I would find one in steel or solid gold. They are beautiful watches. Good luck.
