These VPI papers are all ways missing on the dust cover of the Omega RAF issued 53. I know some one who made a copy of them. Think it would ruin the value if I put one on my dust cover of my 53 ?
I agree, and it adds a bit to the originality of the watch. Although if you ever sell the watch you would need to advise the buyer that it had an after market paper. "Sell it?" says @river rat, "Like that's gunna happen!"
Well as @river rat isn't interested in selling. How about a small donation to a humble collector.... (;P
the copies by Zaf are quite different to avoid meddling...... here is an original one in comparison to the reproduction............ kind regards. achim
Here is a thread at the MWR forum I guess they had a few different VPI papers like yours and one like Zaf copies. http://www.mwrforum.net/forums/showthread.php?77209-On-matters-quot-dohickey-quot&highlight=VPI
correct. the one, i showed, was the early one. Zaf`s were the replacement ones after the first services. kind regards., achim
