Hi guys I have this 3/4 size Zenith, trying to figure which year the watch is produced. Can anyone help? I understand that the number on the movement does not correspond with the serial numbers for Zenith. Kind regards Dag
Rossler says the 122 was a Martel movt first supplied in 1930. The article I quoted above has a member saying they came from UG
I would guess late 40s or early 50s based on general features. If it's really important for you, you can pay for an extract of their archives. https://www.zenith-watches.com/en_us/extracts
Based on the movement serial I assume that the serial would have between 800 and 900k if it was a Berthoud/Jaeger (i.e. not a UG). Reference 22209 is a close sibling. An example with closish serial (170k-175k): https://watchcharts.com/listing/359...l-geneve-compax-ref-22209-vintage-chronograph So the number in the case back does not fit in the Zenith serials but it looks like a UG serial with 1 digit added. There are more examples of this see for instance in this thread at WUS: https://www.watchuseek.com/threads/a-little-help-with-a-cal-136.3774442/
