For sale today is my vintage Zenith A3642 Defy. I believe it is from 1969, haven't opened it up to check the serial though.
DETAILS
- 37mm diameter, stainless steel, great fumee style grey dial, octoganol case
- includes an original Guy Freres ladder bracelet, with 12 links. probably should fit up around a 7.5 inch wrist
- automatic, with water resisteance to 300m, althought this hasn't been tested. Crown stil screws down, but as with any vintage watch, probably worth keeping away from water
- keeping time excellently, as far as I can personally measure around +5 seconds a day or less
- not sure of service history. minor issues are the alignedment of the date window is ever so slightly off centre (as you can see in photos)
- there are cosmetic scratches throughout, I've tried to capture these in the photos below
- got it from an italian dealer in recent months, who mentioned it was serviced with them (probably why it is running so accurately), only selling as I'm not fully vibing with the piece!
Price is $1750 USD net to me, or the equivalent in GBP (around 1455). The watch is based in London, DM me for a quote on shipping. My email is [email protected]
I've aimed to price it significantly much much lower than the other comparable A3642s on the market, given the condition, and for a quicker sale.
