I thought it would be interesting to discuss watches that we would love to see back in production. My idea is watches that filllled a niche, that is no longer filled because watches have been discontinued. I'll start...

I would love to see a new version of the omega 566.024 - for those who don't know it, it was a ladies size automotic dive watch. I think they are a wonderful mix of classic dive watch design, with both practicality and impracticality. What I mean by that is that at 28 mm and with only 60 m or 129 m WR it is actually too small to be a robust dive watch, but at the same time, the bezel gives it the feel and utility of a tool watch.

    So, why this watch...

My wife likes watches too (though it might be a sympathetic interest). She has two vintage omegas but she wants a "wear all the time" watch (one she can wear without worrying about water or knocks). I have resisted buying a 566.024 because I worry that their age will always carry the risk of them needing to be treated with care.

So, my wish is that a new version of the 566.024 is released. I would base it on the modern but classically styled SM300s that were release in 2014. I would reduce it to a size of around 30 mm and release 2 versions, a burgandy version and a blue version. I would aim them towards professional ladies who want a modern movement and practical watch.

I would love to hear what you would bring back if you have the chance.

Just to put your wife's mind at ease, I wore a 566.0007 (31mm SM120) for years as my field inspection watch and the only harm it came to was a few scratches on the crystal. I still wear a ladies Zodiac Seawolf when I'm in the field.

I think first gen Dynamics would do really well in today's market, especially if the straps were still wearer swappable and you targeted them at people who wanted a next level Swatch.

I'd like to have some choice in the 34-36mm range, other than overpriced and shiny Rolexes. Some 36-37mm divers and manual chronos. This size could also work for both genders.

    Also, thinner watches!

I’d vote for a round triple date to be added to the Museum collection.

A pre-moon Speedmaster with applied logo--I hate how cheap the painted logos look.

A chronograph with both the chrono seconds and minutes on the central axis (like the caliber 1040 or 1045 watches). Much easier to read, especially for aging eyes. Could be a flightmaster redo, or a Speedmaster MkIV redo. Maybe even a redo of the Grail.

I will look more closely at the 566.0007's - thank you for the tip.
I like the earlier dynamics too. I could see the niche you are talking about.

    105.003

The FOIS could probably be modified to make it at least look similar on the outside, but it wouldn't be an Omega anymore since all those parts would have to be aftermarket...hands, dial, bezel...lol.

Looks like a crowd-funded thread tailor made for the Omega product managers brainstorming sessions

I wouldn’t mind to see 145.006/145.016 Seamaster Chronos coming back one day... maybe in a slightly different case :)

Maybe just get rid of the sapphire and put a darn plexi on it, with a smoother caseback? This would be a great move from omega imho.

CK14900 in a more modern 38/39mm size. Sharp dogleg lugs, a variety of piepan dials and BoR bracelets.
